Lost items on public transportation

If you have left an item on the bus, you can contact the Department of Public Transportation by telephone or visit them in person. You will need to provide the following information: Detailed description of item Bus route and direction that the bus was traveling Bus number and bus operator name Date and time travelled Items may not be found or handed in until the end of the day. If you have left an item on the bus, you can contact the Department of Public Transportation by telephone or visit them in person.  You will need to provide the following information:

  • Detailed description of item
  • Bus route and direction that the bus was traveling
  • Bus number and bus operator name
  • Date and time travelled

Items may not be found or handed in until the end of the day. Contacting the Department of Transportation the day after an item has been lost is best.

If the item has been found, you can collect it by showing a valid picture identification.

Lost property will be stored for one month. All unclaimed property will be disposed of accordingly.

The Department of Public Transportation does not assume responsibility for lost property.
