Bermuda Executive Forum New York 2019

The Minister attended the annual Bermuda Executive Forum in New York City, and participated in a series of meetings and media interviews (with the Premier of Bermuda) on fintech developments, including Signature Bank and new companies, what Bermuda was doing from a legislative and regulatory framework to encourage blockchain, virtual currencies and fintech; digital assets, bitcoin, etc. The Minister also participated in a moderated panel discussion on "Disruption & Opportunity: Bermuda's Ideal Advantage", where he was joined by other jurisdictional experts in discussion on global industry trends and challenges, and the advantages and opportunities for business in Bermuda. Bermuda's historic and mutually beneficial relationship with the United States was the common theme across all discussions.
