Caribbean Financial Action Task Force Meeting

The Minister of National Security travelled to Miami for the meeting of the Caribbean Action Task Force (CFATF) Steering Group and the annual Council of Ministers meeting held on September 5th and 6th. The Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) is the body that will be carrying out the 2018 assessment of Bermuda’s anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing framework. Government recognized that it was strategically important to strengthen, at the Cabinet level, our relationship with Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) and our ministerial colleagues in member jurisdictions. Bermuda’s involvement with the global network to combat money laundering and terrorist financing is facilitated by its membership in the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force.
