CARIFTA 2025

Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Hon. Owen K. Darrell JP MP was invited to attend the 52 nd CARIFTA Games which took place from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21, 2025, in Trinidad and Tobago. Fifteen Bermuda athletes were invited to participate. Minister Darrell expressed the pleasure of witnessing some up-and-coming local athletes participate as he eagerly cheered them on. The second goal of the National Sports Policy is to ‘Achieve Sporting Excellence Regionally,’ and the CARIFTA Games provide an opportunity for our athletes to fulfill this goal and inspire future generations of athletes by exposing them to high-level competition. Minister Darrell was accompanied by Kimberly Bean, Director of the Department of Sport and Recreation.
