Crypto Finance Conference

Premier David Burt travelled to Switzerland following an invitation to attend the Crypto Finance Conference to further promote Bermuda’s digital asset business sector. Growing and diversifying Bermuda's economy is the Government's #1 priority and every opportunity must be taken to develop the Fintech sector which represents a unique chance for Bermuda to pivot from the challenges of the pandemic into greater economic growth in 2022 and beyond. The attendance at this prestigious invite-only conference was an excellent platform for the Premier to Promote Bermuda’s Digital Asset Industry. At the Conference, the Premier met with various Digital Asset company leaders and facilitated a number of conference calls with the Digital Asset team at the Bermuda Monetary Authority for companies that were interested in establishing operations in Bermuda. Those meetings have resulted in additional Digital Asset applications being submitted to the BMA for licensing under Bermuda’s world-leading digital asset regime.
