Sports and Entertainment Tourism

The Hon Owen K. Darrell, JP MP, Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport had strategic discussions with an expert in the public private partners in sports and entertainment tourism. The outcomes of the meetings include improving visitor experiences by making events more sustainable and impactful. The Minister was accompanied by the Director of The Department of Sport and Recreation. While in Grand Cayman, Minister Darrell met with Minister Isaac Rankine, Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage; Minister Gary Rutty, Deputy Premier - Tourism, Transport and Trade Development; Mr. John Bodden (selects Renegade) Carnival Bank Leader; Mr. Kamal Bankay; and Mr. Brent McLean Charman of CAYMAS. The meetings were an opportunity with meet directly with a leader in entertainment and tourism development during a major activation providing firsthand learning, relationship building and regional networking.
