House of Assembly relocation / Legislative business

The Government is advising the public that the House of Assembly will return for two special sittings on September 13th and 27th, to debate important legislation prior to the Convening of the Legislature in November.

The Senate will also hold two subsequent sittings to consider the legislation.

As a further note, and previously announced in July – Sessions House has been closed for renovations, which includes the replacement of windows and conducting health and safety upgrades to the building.

As such both Houses of the Legislature (Parliament and Senate) will meet in the temporary location of Veritas Place, Court Street. The temporary location has been prepared for the upcoming legislative sessions.
