Who will win the 2017 Technology Innovation Awards?

You can help decide by nominating an innovative technological advancement you have developed, or one you know of, before the end of day this coming Tuesday, 31st of October, 2017.

In 2015 the mobile taxi reservation app Hitch had just been launched and the TechAwards Judging panel deemed it the most innovative new app of the year. To date Hitch has hit the 30,000 mark for trips, and has also notched up 6,500 customers and paid out more than $600,000 to its 230 taxi drivers.

Other winners in this category have included Go Explore Bermuda, Easy Park Mobile App, Gorham's Ltd price checking and inventory control system, Bermuda Football Association mobile app, and the ever popular 2016 winner, Bermuda Broadcasting Company's 2016 Olympics Mobile App.

Now, for the tenth year running, the Department of ICT Policy and Innovation within the Ministry of Transport and Regulatory Affairs is calling for nominations from the public for Bermuda's best in technology in four specific categories: International Innovation of the Year, Local Innovation of the Year, Most Innovative Youth Project of the Year, and Most Innovative New Mobile Application.
