The Ministry of Social Development and Seniors is hosting a Parenting

“Join us this Thursday, November 10th, between 11 am and 2 pm on the Front Lawn of the City Hall for a Parenting Expo that will provide valuable resources and connections to assist with coping and parenting skills,” said the Hon. Tinee Furbert, Minister of Social Development and Seniors.

“From our Nurturing our Nation: Imperfect Parenting Series, this Expo will feature various industry professionals that provide community programmes, child development support and services, mental health support and services, parent and education support, and extra-curricular activities.”

Minister Furbert added, “The Government remains committed to our parents, children, and families and is keen to find a way to ensure they are given the support and tools to help strengthen themselves.”

“It is our hope that through the Nurturing our Nation: Imperfect Parenting Series, we can educate and provide resources to primary caregivers and start healing the foundation of our families.”

Minister Furbert concluded, “Once our families experience healing, then, together, we can work collectively to heal our Nation.”
