Ms Dawn Eversley's Appointment to the Public Service Commission

Congratulations to Ms Dawn Eversley on her appointment to the Public Service Commission.

Ms Eversley has extensive human resources experience across both the public and private sectors, locally and internationally. She is well-versed in the frameworks governing public officers and civil servants, as well as the consultative and collective bargaining processes with major unions within the Public Service. In addition, she serves on both the Employment Tribunal and the Human Rights Tribunal, further strengthening her expertise in employment and antidiscrimination legislation in Bermuda.

Ms Eversley said: "It's a privilege to be appointed to the Public Service Commission (PSC). This is a full circle moment for me, I was appointed to my first post in public service by the PSC as a Trainee Personnel Officer. I look forward to being a productive member of the commission, while giving back to my community."

Governor Andrew Murdoch CMG said:

"Ms Eversley' s experience and her commitment to public service will strengthen the Commission's role in fostering a merit-based, accountable civil service.

The Public Service Commission is an important independent, politically impartial body, to oversee appointments, promotions and disciplinary control of Bermuda's public service. It provides an assurance to the people of Bermuda that these vital public functions are being done with integrity and fairness. I thank all the Commissioners for their service and commitment. I know the Commission Chair and existing members are looking forward to working with Ms Eversley."
