North Terrace Pembroke Gang Graffiti Statement from the Minister of National Security

This morning, the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne M. Caines, JP. MP., and Gang Violence Coordinator, Pastor Leroy Bean attended the area of North Terrace in Pembroke Parish where gang graffiti had been painted on an area resident’s wall.

Minister Caines said, “The neighbours were very upset. We could not stand by and allow the graffiti to stand over the Christmas holiday; so we borrowed clothes from a neighbour and painted the wall.”

“I thank Rowe Spurling Paint Company for donating the paint, and Mrs. Shirlene Bascome, Pastor Leroy Bean, and MP Michael Weeks for all their help and assistance.”

“The Police Community Action Team have been engaged and will be in the neighborhood this afternoon.”

"I ask the persons responsible and remind all of Bermuda to participate in positive activities and work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for all.”
