Premier, Condolences on the Passing of Jean Howes

Good afternoon.

On behalf of Premier Michael Dunkley please note below a message of condolence following the passing of Jean Howes.

"On behalf of the Government and people of Bermuda, I extend my sincere condolences to the family and friends of our beloved Jean Howes.

"Ms. Howes will truly be missed as she was a large part of our community, a well-known musician, television personality and one who did a tremendous amount of work in our schools, educating young people about the dangers of throwing rocks and how it could damage some-one's sight.

"She dedicated a great deal of her time to charitable work and despite being blind she had an independent spirit, led a full life and was an inspiration to us all."
