Premier tables Tribute to Sir Everton Weekes

This morning (17 July), the Premier, the Hon. E. David Burt, JP, MP, tabled a Tribute to Sir Everton Weekes for the information of the House.
Sir Everton Weekes, who died on July 1, 2020, at the age of 95 years, was an internationally renowned cricketing great, a native of Barbados and one of the trio of West Indian batsmen known as “The Three Ws”. On July 3, 2020, the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community paid tribute to Sir Everton, who was accorded a reverential one minute’s silence.
