Private Jet Returns to Bermuda for Precautionary Landing

The Ministry of Transport has confirmed that earlier today a private jet, a Learjet 60 registered as N714TS, returned to the L.F. Wade International Airport due to a problem with its nose landing gear.

The pilots requested to overfly the airport runway so that air traffic controllers and ground staff could observe the aircraft.

To prepare for a safe landing, the jet burned off extra fuel before approaching and safely landing on Runway 30.

The Ministry of Transport closely monitored the situation and is very pleased that the precautionary landing resulted in a safe outcome with no disruption to the operations of the airport.

We thank the pilots, Bermuda Airport Authority’s air traffic controllers, the airport fire department and airport staff for their quick and professional response.
