Statement from Minister of National Security Michael Weeks to Saturday morning's shooting incident in Warwick

 “This was a heinous and cowardly act of violence directed at our police officers last night. We are grateful that no one was hurt during this dangerous incident. 

This is a threat to law and order, and we must all do our part to bring the culprits to justice.

“This kind of criminal behaviour has no place in our society, and we will not tolerate attacks on those who are committed to keeping our communities safe. 

“I urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward and assist the authorities by speaking to the police or contacting Crimestoppers at 800-8477. Together, we can ensure justice is served.”
