Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Comprehensive Immigration Reform

The Ministry of National Security will hold a town hall meeting on Comprehensive Immigration Reform and 2019 Amendments to the Immigration Protection Bill on Thursday, 19 September, between 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm at the Berkeley Institute.

Minister of National Security, Wayne Caines, JP, MP, Renee Ming, MP, Christopher Famous, MP, Leah Scott, MP, Benjamin Smith, and William Madeiros will discuss Comprehensive Immigration Reform and the 2019 Amendments to the Immigration Protection Bill.

“This is an opportunity for all members of the community to come to learn and ask questions about what the Government is doing to ensure a better fairer Bermuda.” Said Minister Caines. “We are holding this meeting on Thursday evening to discuss how Comprehensive Immigration Reform and the 2019 Amendments to the Immigration Protection Bill will affect Bermuda.”

Minister Caines added, “I invite the general public and business owners to come to learn what we are doing and ask questions. Immigration Reform is an important step towards putting Bermudians first by balancing the legitimate expectations of Bermudians in their own land and the legitimate labour needs of businesses.”

The public town hall meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Berkeley Institute. All are encouraged to attend and provide their comments and feedback.
