The Legal Aid Office provides legal representation to those who need it most and who, because of limited financial means, can least afford it.

What do they do?

The Legal Aid Office ensures legal representation to anyone who qualifies for a Legal Aid Certificate for assistance in:

  1. Criminal law, including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Privy Council;
  2. Civil law, such as landlord and tenant disputes;
  3. Family law, such as child custody and maintenance matters.
